In 2007 routine cholesterol testing showed up myeloma cancer of cells in Edward’s bone marrow. “It didn’t bother me in the slightest!” Edward said. Again he trusted in God, prayed and got others to pray. He had to undergo stem cell transplant therapy. In 2012 and again in 2014 Edward has needed chemotherapy. He had an 18 month break and has had chemotherapy again and more stem cell replacement is coming up. Edward testified that he isn’t worried and he believes this is God-given! He quoted Philippians 4: Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests unto God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. He reminded us that Rev Brother David Jardine had said that sometimes God heals completely, sometimes He gives a feeling of wholeness and perseverance.
Edward concluded by saying he is living proof that God answers prayer and how important it is to give feedback to those praying for you. He thanked everyone in the congregation who had prayed for him over the years. He appealed for us all to pray for the families of those suffering with cancer, as it is hard to watch a loved one going through such treatments.
