Edward Johnston told his Story for God’s Glory at the service. Born in Waterford, Edward told how he was convicted by the question a minister asked at a Sunday night service when he was 11—”Are you ready to meet Jesus if He returned tonight?” He went home and ‘did business' with God. Keeping Proverbs 3, verses 5 and 6 as his watchword: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.”
“At the pool of Bethesda, Jesus healed a man who couldn't walk.” – John 5:1-15
Unwell through Autumn 2013, with relapsed aggressive lymphoma, I lived in Belfast City Hospital for nearly 6 months. Over time I lost power and mobility, due to weakness and being confined to bed with up to 6 pumps attached to me for a week at a time.
Suffering from ‘cabin fever’, I recall a precious half hour ‘jailbreak’ in the sun outside the Cancer Centre with son Chris, and Chris Agnew, as we enjoyed a Polly Pineapple each.
